INGREDIENTS:

  • 4–6 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced about ½ inch thick
  • 4TBS. Butter plus more for the baking dish
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup CODY ROAD BOURBON
  • 2 tbsp. Maple syrup

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Butter an ovenproof gratin or casserole dish.

  2. Arrange the sweet potato slices in the prepared dish and season with salt and pepper.

  3. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, 4 tablespoons butter, bourbon, and syrup and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. As soon as the sauce is boiling, pour it over the sweet potatoes.

  4. Bake the casserole, basting and turning the potatoes occasionally, until the sweet potatoes are soft and tender, 45 to 60 minutes.

  5. Adjust for seasoning with salt and pepper.
